From Monday, September 26th to Saturday, October 1st we will be celebrating the last week of Bar Volo on Yonge St. The plan? Put together the best possible list of beers on tap we can find and celebrate 28 years of business at this location (and our re-location to Church St). All beers (12oz and 16oz servings) will be $5.00 all week long. Here are our hours: Monday to Wednesday (4pm-2am), Thursday-Friday (2pm-2am), Saturday (4pm-2am). We are also clearing out our cellar and will have very special off-menu releases. Hope to see you there!
On Saturday, June 25th starting at 2:00pm our friends from Stone City Ales (Kingston, Ontario) will be taking over Bar Volo with 26 beers on tap and 6 on cask. Check out the full list of beers and details!
Join us for Giardino Di Birra at the Taste of Little Italy Street Festival Friday, June 17th to Sunday, June 19th. We will have a 100 seat beer garden set up in front of the Royal Cinema serving a lineup of regional beer and cider.

On Saturday, February 27th our good friends Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel! will be celebrating “Péche Day” at 26 bars across the world (full list here) with 6 varieties on tap at each location. In light of this celebration, Bar Volo will be tapping an additional 26 kegs of porters and stouts from regional breweries for a total of 32 offerings. This will include a limited amount of imported bottles from our cellar. Full line up will run on Saturday and on Sunday the following day from 2pm-2am. Beers are subject to change and availability.

The 11th Annual Cask Days Cask-Conditioned Beer Festival returns to Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, Ontario. The festival will offer more than 300 beers and ciders served on cask across 3 days with over 8000 attendees. Cask Days celebrates the love for cask ale: unpasteurized, unfiltered and naturally carbonated beer that is served direct from a cask barrel.
It is with great pleasure to announce that on Saturday, September 19th, 2015 starting at 3:00pm Bar Volo will be one of the 56 locations across the world chosen by Brasserie Cantillon (Brussels, Belgium) to host Zwanze Day 2015 (our third year in a row!). Zwanze Day is a world-wide celebratory release of a limited one-off lambic beer made by Brasserie Cantillon. It will be served in 17 countries simultaneously at 3:00pm on one day only.

Bar Volo is excited to announce our next tasting event with Jester King Brewery of Austin, Texas on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 (6pm-2am). Jester King is an authentic farmhouse brewery committed to making wild ales and spontaneously fermented beers that reflect the unique character of their location in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Joining us will be their head brewer Garrett Crowell and Barrel Program Head Adrienne Ballou. The following beers will be available by the sample (in bottles) for the first time in Ontario:
